Healt Dept. Encourages People to Live Healthy

Jakarta Health Dept. is celebrating the 54th National Health Day with theme "Ayo Hidup Sehat Mulai Dari Kita" (let's live healthy from us), in Monas area, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday (12/9).

This aims to make Jakartans healthy

On that occasion, Jakarta Health Dept. Head, Khafifah Any invites residents to live healthy lives and prioritize promotive and preventive efforts. One of efforts is through program of Cities Changing Diabetes.

Anies Wants Nurses to Promote Healthy Lifestyle to Communities

It is hoped able to suppress the number of diabetes cases in Jakarta. "We work together in efforts to prevent and treat diabetes through Cities Changing Diabetes along with Denmark Embassy, Health Ministry, and Indonesia Endocrinology Association (PERKENI)," he expressed.

Later on the program will map three main issues. They are diabetes that must be dealt with immediately, the right intervention to solve the problem, and share the results of the program to other cities in Indonesia so that prevalence can be suppressed nationally.

"This aims to make Jakartans healthy," he stated.

The event itself is filled by fun walk and healthy exercise participated by 1,000 people. It is also attended by Assistant Regional Secretary for People's Welfare, Catur Laswanto, hospital and puskesmas heads, as well as ranks of Health Dept.
